Man. How lucky am I, to have such witty co-workers?

Why I’m really posting: I completely forgot to mention that we’re having a meeting for folks who want to volunteer at the Art Festival next Monday at 7:00. From the flyer:

Well, dandy. Patrick (the editor) says there's still a point or two awaiting revision, but he'd be happy to get you a copy once it's ready. There may be yet more exciting news lurking in our YA department, but I need to talk to someone first and figure out what I'm allowed to say. :)

OMG. I love Emily of New Moon.

Did Fi mean the title sounded EONMish? Or that the book is EONMish?

Just the title. I didn't remember, but apparently, Emily uses a similar one.

Hey babe, would love to get involved with that this year but I can't make the meeting--not coming back to the city until the 31st. Get the details for me, okay?

Yeah, will do. There seems to be a lot of interest in this meeting, so there's a slight chance that we'll get more volunteers than we know what to do with, in which case Anne will probably give priority to the people who make the meetings. But you have a good excuse, and I'll put in a good word for you.

Awww, I'm sorry. I hope things stabalize soon. :( But most of the actual volunteering is on the weekend, so with luck we'll manage to work something out.

Liz - I wanted to pop in here and let you know I've added you - we have a common acquaintance in Cherie Priest and Lantz Powell (he's also my agent) and I didn't want you to be surprised. Or alarmed. Or some such. Please feel free to come play in my journal as well.

Hey there, Liz! It was great finally meeting you after hearing about you all these years :) I'm sorry that I kind of lamed out last night, but sleep is a sneaky creature and totally had it in for me. Sadly it works that way when you go on as little steam as I do for long periods of time... Anyhow, hope you had a good time in Chi-town, and I'm sure I'll be bumping around in your world in the future... Cheers!
